Cement around a real purse is how this one is done. There are many methods to creating stone like textures with plaster and cement. Then he more than likely uses a brush set to clean up the design adding depth and colour to really give it a stone effect.

It is still good work no one can say it is not.
But it is not real stone that is for sure, if you look at his bear stone sculpture you can clearly see it is not stone .
